I found the following paper “Lab Courses Go Virtual” by Thomas F. Edgar, using Gale PowerSearch™. The tool

showed the paper was 100% similar to another source. I would email the Student Code of Conduct. I would have them

read over it. I would give them a zero for their grade on the paper.

I would say it is a serious issue as the paper looks to be plagiarized, I would warn them future plagiarism would

be reported to the University , and placed in their permanent records. I would tell them that the reason plagiarism is

dishonest, is the school says students aren’t allowed to do it, that it is the same as stealing and that if they keep doing

this they will never learn on their own, if they keep trying to take an easy way out. Then to help them out, I would

let them know about, Self-plagiarism which is work that is prepared for other classes, Unauthorized Assistance,

Fabrication, Misrepresentation Copyright infringement, , and Collusion, or helping / allowing others to commit

any act of academic dishonesty. Just to make sure that they know all the types of behavior that constitutes academic

dishonesty.
